Evaluation Design- Module 3
Methods for Enhancing Evaluation Use
To enhance evaluation use, the evaluation will be participatory and will include not only those involved with the program, but the community members. The community members should be included in the discussions because one of the AYP’s is to increase civic engagement and integrate yoga into the community. For example, there could be discussion groups held every week or at the end of the yoga session. In this way those who are actively participating in the program will be a part of the evaluation as well.
Evaluation Standards
This evaluation will meet the “P1 Service Orientation” as it includes all of the members participating and the community members.
“A1 Program Documentation” will be met if all documents are clearly and accurately described.
Finally, “A11 Impartial Reporting” will be met if the evaluation remains participatory and collaborative. If those who are participating in the program, the program evaluators, and the community members discuss the findings together, they can decide as a group how to report the findings.
